One way or another . . .

I'm going to get there.  Been a very busy, busy time lately.

After getting Nick settled in to his new place, Sophia got quite sick.  The Dr said it was a 24 hour bug, but after 4 days there was no improvement so I made the kids take her up to ER to get her checked out properly.  I was worried she'd end up too dehydrated even though I bought a load of lemonade iceblocks - it was the only thing she was able to keep down.  Breaks your heart when they get like this.  Feel so helpless.

So they checked her out, put her on a drip, gave her some meds to help with the diarhorea and sent her home.

Slowly after that she came right .  She's now our happy smiling girl again.

Then we had Kelly and the kids out to stay for the night while Dave went to Napier to watch the rugby.  Jaxon had all of us up during the night. lol.  Teething.  I got the 1.30am and 7.30 am shift.

All our grandbabies are growing up.  Kayla is turning into a little tomboy.

She goes out with her Dad hunting sometimes.  And don't worry she is well supervised.  Her Dad is a wonderful father.  She stays in the car.

Then the following weekend we got a call from Krystal.  She's studying at AUT and she had a fall out with her flatmates and had to move her stuff out.  So Mr T and I did a trip up to Auckland to get her things and bring her home for a bit.  She's back up in Auckland now in a new place and a lot happier.

She is doing so well and turning into a beautiful young woman.  We are very proud.

About three weeks ago my son Matt, who moved down to Wellington at the beginning of the year, phoned and said he'd like to come back home and work for us.  He was up in August for his birthday and Mr T had mentioned that John who worked for us was thinking about moving to Australia.  He isn't but, our business has really taken off and we needed to find someone else - so he was the perfect choice.  He's been home since Sunday and he's already been a huge help.  I think he was a bit homesick, missed his family and his friends, but think he wanted to be here with his brother while Nick and Janelle were going through there separation.  All in all I don't think it is a bad thing.

So it's been quite full on the past few weeks and I'm looking forward to things slowing down a bit and taking a few deep breaths.

I can't tell you how happy I am daylight savings happen this weekend and now that  the cold snap has hopefully past I'm looking forward to enjoying time outside in my garden at the end of the day.

The smoking or non-smoking should I say is going great.  Nearly 3 weeks now.  Mr T is putting on weight, 5 kgs so far, and  he looks really good.  It hasn't been easy though.  The cravings hit at the oddest of times, but I find brushing my teeth and chewing gum helps.

Once things finally settle down into more of a routine I want to get back to blogging properly.  It helps to keep me on track and most important - it's my diary too.  The good, the bad and the ugly, lol.

See you soon.

Ciao.
