Signing in for 2012 ....

Happy New Year blogger buddies.

The past couple of weeks have gone by too fast and it's back to work for me tomorrow.

The weather hasn't been very good to us this year - in fact it's been quite sucky. The only solice is that the bad weather is continuing for a little bit longer - it's the total pits when its nice and sunny on your first day back at work.

We were a little lucky though and managed to get away camping to Thornton for a couple of days after christmas. First time we've taken Josh and Krystal with us for about four years. We also had Kelly, Dave and Kayla with us. The weather was fine and the guys managed to get out fishing. Far too rough for me and I'm not a great fan of the Thornton sand bar.

The kids were great though Kayla was a bit grizzly, and it was just good to get away. It started to drizzle just as we pulled in the driveway and we managed to get the car and boat unpacked before the heavens opened and it rained solidly for the next six days.

We put Krystal on the bus home to Whangarei new years eve day loaded down with all her new goodies so she could spend new years with her friends. Hard to believe she's going to be 17 in a couple of weeks.

Josh went to his mum's on the sunday for a week and that left me and Mr T home alone unsupervised.
TOTAL BLISS. We ummed and ahhed for a couple of days about whether to go camping again and in the end decided no. Just too much hassle pitching the tent for a few days and not knowing if the weather was going to be kind to us to go fishing or not. Not to mention its no fun putting up and pulling down a tent in the rain!!! Considering how the weather turned out I think we made the right choice.

We had Lucas for the day and I've decided my new favourite word is "Nana".

I managed to get out in the garden and prune the trees and vines along the driveway, went to the workshop for a day and Mr T had a day out fishing with John, who works for us.

They managed to get a few snapper - yummo. Included was a decent size snapper and a terakihi.

John and his family out with friends for a big barbecue one night which was great. Mr T and I like entertaining.

And Kayla came and visited - in a much better mood.

On Friday night Mr T and I went out to Waikite Hot Pools for dinner and swim which was nice. Yesterday we shot over to Tauranga to visit my mum and have a look around the shops.

Today Josh came home and we've just been chilling out at home. I've finally taken down my christmas tree. Shock, horror. I know I'm late but I wanted the decorations still up when John brought his family out. He's got six kids. eldest is 14 and his youngest was born just before christmas. Phew.

So all in all despite the weather now that I've actually written it down we did do a bit. It was all fun too.

As for the weighty issue. I've had a peek-a-boo around the blogs and I see you're all doing really well. How awesome is that. Well I haven't let you down. I have not had a big loss but the past two weeks has seen me down another 400 grams. I survived. I'm only having two meals a day and a snack of peanuts or a piece of fruit if I feel like it.

It's great seeing so many of you low carbing and getting the results. I can only say for the first time since I started this blog I am now confident it is going to journal my journey to a slimmer healthier me instead of the yo-yo that I've been on.

My motivation is simply - I no longer feel hungry!!!!

It's so much easier to focus on the long term and remember the weight will come off. It was put on over time and time will take it off again. My eating habits have changed and I'm going to succeed.

WE ALL ARE!!!

Right better go get myself organised for tomorrow. Sigh.

Welcome to 2012.
