What can I say ...
Firstly, thanks heaps for your supportive comments and emails. They brought a tear to my eye. Damn hormones. Lol, just kidding. You guys were just what I needed.
Over the last couple of days I got a grip on myself again. Things are starting to slow down a wee bit and it’s making it a helluva lot easier to get on top of everything. It has been quite full on over the school holidays as well with having the young ones as well as the older ones occupying time.
Krystal was sick a couple of days this week and I decided to take yesterday off and stay at home with the kids. Just what I needed. I managed to clean the whole house, declutter a few bits and pieces, cook a yummy dinner and spend time with the kids. Despite my grumpiness last weekend I really do love those kids and they give it back tenfold. Last night Josh jumped into bed and told me I was the best stepmum eva. He’s been saying that a lot lately.
Okay so getting to grips with everything also means weighty matters too. So I am pleased to report that this morning when I got on the scales they said 76.6. That’s a 1 kg loss in a couple of days!!!! So that certainly made me feel heaps better and put a smile on my dial.
I’ve just put Krystal on a plane home and dropped Josh off to the workshop to be picked up by his mother. For the first time in a while my husband and I will be alone tonight. There are no pressures – even the workload is becoming manageable (still wish people would pay their bills tho). The house is clean for the weekend, we can both relax and I can spend some quality time with my husband and make it up to him for being such a psycho wife so soon after the wedding.
And you guys have been very patient waiting to see some wedding photo’s. I have a few more to share with you until the official ones get here.
These are our children .... all of them .... Both and Col and I felt very proud of them. What made it even more special for us as parents was the number of people who told us how wonderful it was that they all got on so well together. It was not the easiest thing in the world bringing them all together, but at the end it was well worth it.
Doesn't our Krystal look so beautiful. I can't believe she's 13. This kid got up and did an impromptu speech at the wedding.
Our lovely girls .... Oh by the way Kelly got the job in Saudi. She will be heading to Dubai to nurse for a year in a couple of months.
These are our eldest ... Kelly and Nick ...
During the vows ....
Well what I can I say .... I was showered with rosebuds ... Cols just checking none went down my front ... hate to stain the dress ...
Thanks again everyone. I love ya heaps.

Gorgeous kids, gorgeous photos!! Pleased to hear you are feeling better and great start on a kilo down already:-)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!
ReplyDeleteThat is a real compliment (re:kids getting along) and a testament to you both.
Isn't it funny how things work out. A child getting sick, you stay home and sort things out in your own head giving you much needed thinking time. *smile*
Ohhhhh enjoy your child free time....
ReplyDeleteI look forward to mine...
Life can get ontop of us so easily...

ReplyDeleteI left a comment on your blog before reading your email......am sending a big hug your way
I am not going to sit here and say I know exactly how you feel cause I dont...but will say I can emphasise with you.....my world is a tad crazy atm also.
Could say that everything will work out in the long run ( which I truly believe it will ) but that doesnt help hearing that when so much is happening.
Draw on your inner strength, lean on the ones who love you and dont bottle things up as we all love you for who you are 7 kgs heavier or not ok :)
I am so glad you sent this email, talking and being able to share your feelings with people who genuinely care, listen and who you can trust is a treasurable thing.
